Early Work

 George Segal received is art education from Pratt, Cooper Union and NYU where he also gained a teaching degree. He quickly moved to sculpture from painting as his main form of expression. The human figure is the subject in the vast majority of his work, but he gains an emotional detail with them once he moves to sculpture.
